Specification: Decorative veneer cuts reveal the natural beauty of wood. Various species of woods, combined with different cutting techniques, produce a range of visual characteristics in colour, grain and finish. Artwelz is very selective about the LOGs chosen for veneer. They must meet precise standards; from specific grade requirements to characteristics considered desirable for a veneer Log. To bring out those qualities, ARTWELZ uses different cutting methods: plain or flat sliced, bastard quarter sliced, half-round, rift cut and thirds sliced. After slicing, the sheets of veneer are kept in the order, they are sliced to ensure natural grain progression when assembled as veneer faces. The complete set of sheets from part of one Log [ Laid together in sequence as they are cut ] is referred to as a " flitch ".

Specification: Custom made table-top and door panel as custom design using various types of veneers to form a pattern. Such as quartered vs crown veneers - sliced veneers are differentiated by their grain pattern. Quartered cut veneer is generally of a stripy, vertical grain appearance, whereas crown veneer generally has a central portion of flowery grain with some quarter at each side.
