Chinese furniture manufacturers are putting the environment at the top of the production agenda, according to importer Link International.
The company, through its Christian Harold brand, said it will only introduce Forest Stewardship Council certified products in the future and believes Far Eastern suppliers are more switched on to the environmental agenda than their Eastern Europe contemporaries.
"At the end of the day, the Chinese are business people, and they have seen that for consumers around the world the environment is becoming more important," said Christian Briand Petersen, md. "They have always been very good at listening to what the market wants."
Link International unveiled a number of cabinet ranges including Roanne, Champagne, and Versailles at Interiors Birmingham.
